The game director of Horizon Call of the Mountain has been cut in Sony's gaming division

In February, Sony announced plans to lay off 900 employees of the gaming division. Alex Barnes, game director from the British studio Firesprite, wrote on social networks that he was among the dismissed specialists.

The developer admitted that the last few months have been difficult for the studio. He thanked his colleagues for their support and stated that he was glad to work at Firesprite.

Barnes didn't say what he was going to do now. He also did not share how many other Firesprite employees were fired.

Barnes has worked at Firesprite for over six years. He joined the studio in September 2017. First, as a game designer, he had a hand in the VR horror The Persistence, and then as a game director - in Horizon Call of the Mountain.
