The new version of the Unity engine will feature AI tools for game development

During the Unite 2023 conference, Unity announced Unity 6, the next version of its engine. With it, developers will, among other things, get early access to artificial intelligence-based tools Unity Muse and Unity Sentis.

Unity showed these tools for the first time at the end of June. Let's remind you what they are.

Unity Muse is a set of technologies that allow you to create "almost anything" in the Unity editor based on a text description or a sketch.

Unity Sentis is a cross—platform solution with which developers can integrate neural networks into their projects.

Other innovations will include support for the WebGPU GUI and early access to the Unity Cloud service. The company has also optimized performance, improved lighting and accelerated the creation of multiplayer games. You can read more about these and other innovations on the Unity blog.

Unity 6 is scheduled for release in 2024.
