Mid-level to Senior UI Artist / UI Designer (Game Development)

An international game development studio is looking for a Mid-level to Senior UI Artist / UI Designer to join a fully remote team working on cross-platform game projects.
The company develops and supports multiple products simultaneously, including live games, new game concepts, and various gameplay systems at different stages of production. This role requires a high level of ownership, independence, and the ability to drive tasks from concept to final implementation.
Responsibilities

  • Design and refine user interfaces for game projects based on design documentation, sketches, and task briefs.
  • Analyze existing interfaces and suggest improvements to both visual quality and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain the overall UI visual style.
  • Create interface graphics, icons, components, and decorative UI elements.
  • Prepare assets for implementation and integration.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Game Designers, and Developers.
  • Manage tasks independently and support them through final implementation.
  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Experience as a UI Artist or UI Designer within the gaming industry.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience creating icons, UI components, and visual interface assets.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve research, iteration, and production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of composition, typography, visual hierarchy, and interface readability.
  • Experience designing interfaces for PC, Web, or Mobile games.
  • Ability to adapt to different visual styles and work effectively with feedback.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong self-management, ownership, and decision-making skills.
  • Updated portfolio demonstrating game UI design experience.
