Oculus Founder Launches New VR Startup
Palmer Lucky, one of the founders of the Oculus Rift VR project, announced that he has created a new company related to virtual reality.
Lucky told about this at the Tokyo Games Show, held on September 23 in the capital of Japan.
He did not specify the name and other details of his new business.
Instead, Lucky speculated that at the current stage, the VR industry is only developing and attracting investments for this.
Therefore, it makes sense for companies in this segment to cooperate and promote the growth of the industry while the market is relatively small.
When the industry grows to a significant size, serious competition for big money will begin.
“It’s like in the history of civilization, you can’t start a war if you don’t have several states,” Palmer Lucky said.
In March of this year, Lucky resigned from the Oculus Rift company he founded after a trial, following which the court found him guilty of violating a non-disclosure agreement and fined $ 50 million in favor of ZeniMax.
