Sony has informed users that, due to persistent technical challenges, the game's multiplayer options are no longer available, and all server support will end by November 25, 2026.

The single-player functionality will remain operational until that time. The game’s in-game purchase currency, Destruction Points, has been withdrawn from sale, though existing credits can still be used until the set date.

Owners of the game can still play Arcade Mode, but PlayStation warns that server shutdowns might affect game performance and the overall user experience.

Initially expected to be released as a premium title alongside the PlayStation 5 launch in 2020, Destruction AllStars's debut was postponed to February 2021. It was first offered as a complimentary PS Plus game for two months, and later priced at £19.99, before being added to the PS Plus Extra collection.

This move follows a similar decision by Bungie to cease support for Destiny 2 after 12 years. Sony experienced a significant financial loss, recording a $204.2 million impairment due to Destiny 2's lower-than-expected performance, with an added $565 million impact reported in its latest financial updates.
