Publisher Curve Digital acquired developers For The King
British publisher Curve Digital has announced the purchase of a second studio. She became an independent team from Vancouver IronOak Games, known for the 2018 game For The King.Curve Digital announced this on its website.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
According to the company’s managing director Jason Perkins, the purchase of IronOak is part of their development strategy as a “fast-growing and ambitious publisher.”Last year, Curve Digital acquired Runner Duck Games studio, known for the indie hit Bomber Crew. As Perkins notes, the company plans to make more deals to buy independent developers in the future.
For The King is a mix of roguelike and turn-based tactics, which was released in 2018 and was published by Curve Digital. The average score of the game on Metacritic was 79 points.
