The publisher of Worms and Overcooked increased annual revenue to $76.3 million

The British Team17 earned $76.3 million last year. Revenue of the publisher Overcooked increased by 43% compared to 2018.

The Company has published a report for the fiscal year ended December 31. Here are some more numbers from it:

  • The profit of Team17 (gross profit) for 12 months amounted to $36.4 million, up 49% year-on-year. This is quite a serious growth. For comparison, the publisher’s profit in 2018 increased by 18% year-on-year;
  • the indicator of pre-tax profit EBITDA increased to $27.3 million. This is 44% more than in 2018;
  • 71% of the total revenue came from titles released before 2019;
  • Last year, Team17 launched 7 new games. Possible drivers were: My Time At Portia, fully released on Steam (up to 1 million copies sold), Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Blasphemous;
  • its staff has grown by 20% to 200 people over the same time.

Team17 is the creator of the Worms tactical series, as well as the publisher of The Escapists prison simulator. One of her most successful series is Overcooked with a cooperative bias.
