Yes, Your Grace from the publisher No More Robots earned $600 thousand on Steam in two days
On March 6, the Yes, Your Grace simulator was released on Steam. Over the weekend, the game earned $ 600 thousand. The publisher of No More Robots named possible reasons for this success.
Mike Rose, the head of the publisher, told about the earnings of Yes, Your Grace on Twitter. According to him, in the first year, No More Robots expects to sell 250 thousand copies of the game on Steam.
It is unclear exactly how many copies were sold on the release. But at the time of the launch of Yes, Your Grace was in 80 thousand vishlist. In No More Robots, this is considered the main reason for the success of the game on release.
We wrote earlier about the relationship between vishlist and Steam sales. Also note that, according to Jake Birkett from the studio Grey Alien Games, the number of copies sold in the first days after release averages 58% of the number of vishlist.
How did No More Robots manage to interest Yes, Your Grace at least 80 thousand players? There are three reasons:
- excellent, according to the publisher, the trailer with the announcement of the game. It can be seen below;
- the launch of the open beta of Yes, Your Grace in November. During that month, the game was added to 30 thousand wish lists;
- good (again, according to the publisher) artistic promotional materials.
Separately, Rose noted that localization of the game into German, French, Russian, Chinese and Polish helped to achieve high sales on the release. Without it, earnings would have been significantly lower, since US players accounted for only 27% of sales over the weekend.
Yes, Your Grace is a strategic simulator with RPG elements. The player controls a medieval kingdom, makes alliances, solves the problems of the inhabitants and prepares for war. The style of the title is somewhat reminiscent of Kingdom: New Lands from Raw Fury.
