The audience of Halo: Master Chief Collection reached 3 million on PC and Xbox
The Halo: Master Chief Collection attracted 3 million people in the release week. This is the total audience on Steam and Xbox Game Pass, where the first game of the collection was released — Halo: Reach.
This was announced by Microsoft. “This is a grand launch with record figures for the franchise,” says the publisher.
In addition, this launch on Steam turned out to be the most successful in the history of Microsoft games. Although until recently this record belonged to Gears 5.
It is unknown how the audience was distributed across all platforms (Steam, Xbox and Windows 10 with an Xbox Game Pass subscription). In the Valve store, according to the SteamSpy service, the number of owners of the collection ranged from 2 million to 3 million people.
Note that these are sales of Halo: Reach. But they are attributed to the entire Master Chief Collection, since the release of the game is considered to be the release of the entire collection.
Halo: Reach was released on December 3. The release dates of the remaining games (Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4) have not yet been announced. Microsoft will announce information about them at the beginning of the new year.
