Microsoft announced the Xbox One S All-Digital console without a disk drive
Microsoft officially unveiled the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition console at the Inside Xbox event. It differs from the previous models of the line in the absence of a disk drive.
Due to the rejection of the Xbox One S drive, All-Digital will become the cheapest console on the market at the time of release. Its cost will be $250. The price for Russia has not yet been announced.
Since the console will not support physical media, games for it can only be purchased in the Microsoft digital store. You can also play on All-Digital with an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
The new model is equipped with a 1 TB SSD drive. It supports 4K resolution and HDR technology. Externally, it almost does not differ from the standard Xbox One S (except for the missing drive).
The console will go on sale on May 7. On the same day, it will be available in Russia from retailers “M.Video” and “Eldorado”. It comes with a wireless controller and three pre-installed games: Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 3 and Minecraft.
