Publisher Wanted: Big Game Freaks from Moscow is looking for a publisher for a worldwide launch
We continue the series of articles "The publisher is wanted". As part of the cycle, development teams can talk about themselves, their project, and why they need a publisher.
The second material is dedicated to the Moscow Big Game Freaks team. She is preparing two projects for release — midcore Battle Rams and three-in-a-row Jingliks. The studio is looking for a publisher to launch both projects worldwide.
He told me about the team and its games Kirill Darchenkov, CEO of Big Game Freaks.

About the team
Big Game Freaks is a young Moscow studio engaged in the development of mobile games. It was founded in 2017. At the moment, the company employs 15 people on two projects.
About the projects
Battle Rams
An experimental project. It is being developed in Cocos Creator partly because we have good specialists in this engine, partly because we wanted to compare Cocos with Unity. We've been working on it for about a year, and in November we're going to put it on Google Play for a small audience.
Battle Rams
Jingliks
In the fall of 2017, we held successful negotiations with the Open Alliance Media production center and received the right to develop a game application in the world of the fabulous Jingliki franchise for children.
The Unity environment was chosen as the development platform, which allows us to efficiently implement the task. The original assets involved in the production of the cartoon were used to create the objects.
At the moment, the game world of Jingliks contains five ready-made locations (eight are planned), more than 300 story tasks, about 4,000 lines of replicas and character dialogues, as well as several dozen three-in-a-row levels.

About the mechanics of projects
Battle Rams
Mechanics, like the project's setting, is an experiment. It is based on the usual mechanics of line wars, in which mobs walk along a line from their castles towards each other.
To it, we added hero control in battle, leveling up heroes through collecting items.
This approach, on the one hand, allowed us not to use the cliches that had already become quite familiar, on the other hand, not to create something completely new and incomprehensible to the player.
By the way, we are currently working on creating additional variations of combat mechanics.
Battle Rams
Jingliks
One of the tasks of the Jingliki project is to transfer the fabulous animation world to a mobile application. As a starting point, we took the Gardenscapes mobile game, which has both a three-in-a-row and a storyline. This game is very popular and, in our opinion, is ideal for creating gameplay based on cartoon stories.
The Jingliks game world is an island that consists of several locations — courtyards of characters. At each stage, the player moves from one courtyard to another, gets acquainted with its owner, the character, helps everyone to equip the yard.
The tasks that the player receives are implemented in the form of animated comics, thus the player watches a cartoon while in the game.
The game controls are very simple. To change the big fantasy world, the player can only use a minimal set of actions, which is casual and does not require much time to learn.
The game has a social component. Players who connect the app to Facebook will not only be able to save their progress in the cloud, but also share with each other the lives that are necessary to complete the levels.

About the target audience
Battle Rams
The audience is midcore, 12-45 years old.
The preferences of the target audience were studied using the example of a small group of developers playing various collectible games.
Battle Rams
Jingliks
Women from 30 years old and children under 14 years old.
Jingliks
About the business model of the project
Battle Rams
We didn't reinvent the wheel in the business model either. Selling items of equipment for heroes and watching video ads to increase rewards. We are also working on a premium scheme.
Battle Rams
Jingliks
A standard freeplay with in-game purchases and viewing ads.

About the place in the market
The expectations are quite rosy. According to the first reviews received at various exhibitions, the projects turned out to be interesting and cute.
It's too early to talk about a place in the market. We expect that our projects will feel confident and achieve popularity.
About who he's looking for
We are looking for a publisher who will help bring the games to the international level.
