Japanese publisher Gumi Inc. has officially announced the creation of a $30 million Gumi Cryptos investment fund. The fund is intended for investments in projects using cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
With the help of Cryptos, the publishing house wants to promote foreign cryptocurrency and blockchain companies wishing to enter the Japanese market.
“We decided to create a fund that will allow us to work directly with cryptocurrency startups. We have a lot of experience in this field of technology, and we are ready to help young companies achieve amazing results in the market,” said Gumi CEO Hironao Kunimitsu.
The management of Gumi Cryptos includes Miko Matsumura, who founded the Evercoin cryptocurrency exchanger.
Gumi Cryptos is already funding 4 startups, including Robot Cache, an online blockchain platform for selling video games from the creator of the Wasteland and Fallout game series Brian Fargo.
