Date Everything secures two honors at The Gayming Awards 2026

At this year's Gayming Awards, held on June 8 in Los Angeles at The Vermont Hollywood theatre, "Date Everything" by Sassy Chap Games was honored with the Best LGBTQ+ Indie Game and the Fan Favorite Award. The Game of the Year accolade went to "South of Midnight" by Compulsion Games, and Jennifer English was recognized as LGBTQ+ Voice Actor of the Year for her role in "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33."

Spanning across 14 different categories, the event acknowledged a variety of games, TV shows, creators, and developers who advanced diversity and inclusivity throughout 2025. This year, Trixie Mattel was presented with the inaugural LGBTQ+ Content Creator Superstar Award for her contributions to queer representation.

The Gayming Icon Award, named after the late Rebecca Heineman, was awarded to Darion Lowenstein for his enduring impact on LGBTQ+ visibility in gaming.

Dedicating the evening to raising funds, the Gayming Foundation focused on supporting LGBTQ+ workers and fans in gaming to foster change, inclusivity, and representation.

Robin Gray, founder of Gayming Magazine and the award event, expressed admiration for the attendees, saying, "The creativity, tenacity, and generosity of the LGBTQ+ games community are unmatched, and our winners exemplify this quality."

Gray emphasized the collective effort required for progress and extended gratitude to everyone involved in realizing the event, reiterating the ambition of improving the industry.
