In 2025, Moscow gaming companies made deals with foreign partners worth more than a billion rubles

The amount was revealed on social media by the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin.

"Zemsky Sobor"

Sobyanin did not provide specific examples of international deals made last year. Instead, he spoke about a more recent agreement. A month ago, the Agency of Creative Industries, which oversees the Moscow cluster for video games and animation, formed a partnership with Brasilia Game Hub. It is anticipated that in the near future, deals in Brazil will be signed by another 15 companies from the capital.

According to Sobyanin, video games are currently "one of the key export areas" of Moscow's creative industry. This achievement was possible in part due to the establishment of the mentioned cluster, which includes over 40 game companies among its residents.

Earlier, Sobyanin reported that by the end of 2024, gaming and IT companies accounted for 58% of the total revenue of Moscow's creative industry, collectively earning 3.9 trillion rubles. However, the mayor did not specify how much of this was earned by game developers and publishers versus other IT specialists.
