The creators of Cascadeur received $50,000 from Epic Games

Nekki has received support from Epic Games. The company announced that it received $50,000 as part of the Epic MegaGrant program.

As Nekki reported on its official blog, the funds will be used to develop the character animation tool Cascadeur. Nekki plans to enhance the Live Link plugin, which transfers created animations to Unreal Engine in real time.

Nekki added that currently more than 40% of Cascadeur users work with Unreal Engine, making this innovation valuable for a significant part of its audience.

Epic Games launched the Epic MegaGrant in 2019 and has since awarded over 2,000 grants. Recipients have included studios such as Sandfall Interactive (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), Odd meter (INDIKA), Frost Giant Studios (Stormgate), Deep Field Games (Abiotic Factor), Digital Confectioners (Dread Hunger), and The Astronauts (Witchfire).
