PUBG: New State collected 23 million downloads and earned $2.6 million in its debut week
The futuristic sequel to PUBG Mobile got off to a good start. The analytical company Sensor Tower found out that in the first seven days since the release of PUBG: New State, 23 million downloads were downloaded on Google Play and the App Store. The game’s revenue was $2.6 million.
This was reported by the GamesIndustry portal.biz with reference to analyst data.
American gamers spent the most money in PUBG: New State. They were followed by users from Japan and Turkey. It is not reported exactly how many were left in the game in each country.
As for downloads, India is the leader here — local gamers have downloaded PUBG: New State 7 million times (30.4%). The USA and South Korea also entered the top three.
For comparison, PUBG Mobile collected 28 million downloads in its premiere week in March 2018. However, what the original royal battle then had revenue is unknown. At the moment, PUBG Mobile’s earnings exceed $7 billion.
PUBG: New State was announced in February 2021 and received 5 million pre-registrations in just a week. By the day of release (November 11), their number reached 55 million. At the start, due to the influx of users, the game had problems with the servers, and gamers also complained about a lot of bugs. Now the project’s estimates are average. PUBG: New State has a 4.1 out of 5 rating on Google Play, and 3.6 points on the App Store.
Recall that the sequel to PUBG Mobile takes place in 2051 on the new big TROI map. Also, futuristic weapons and the ability to revive dead teammates were added to the title.
