Epic Games veteran launches legal service. Will fight against injustice in the industry
Alexey Savchenko, who previously held the post of licensing manager at Epic Games, wants to make the gaming industry a little better. He announced the imminent launch of a legal and consulting service for developers. He promises to help all deceived developers with the examination of contracts, and to show newcomers what pitfalls there are in relations with large companies.
As Savchenko wrote on Facebook, he really does not like the current situation in game development. Developers are constantly faced with direct humiliation, wringing out rights, problems with payments, ignoring and “stories that this is normal.”
For 22 years of working with games, Savchenko “saw a lot and filled his own bumps.” This initiative is for him a way to repay the debt to the industry in which he took place.
The service will start working in October and has already received funding (money was invested in it by Savchenko himself and a “couple of friends”). Savchenko noted that he would be glad if someone else wants to invest in the project with money or knowledge.
