Players took more than 19 million copies of Star Wars Battlefront II during the distribution in the Epic Games Store
Giveaways in the Epic Games Store are in great demand among players. This time, over 19 million people downloaded free copies of Star Wars Battlefront II during the week of the promotion in the store.
Representatives of Electronic Arts wrote about the impressive results of the online shooter on Twitter.
More than 19 million players picked up Star Wars Battlefront II during the distribution in the Epic Games Store. Thank you so much for the support that continues even after the release of the latest updates. We will follow your progress with great interest. May the Force be with you!
The distribution took place in EGS from January 14 to 21 and became one of the loudest during the entire operation of the store. Recall that in the summer a similar title was awarded to the distribution of Remnant: From the Ashes, during which the title was downloaded by 10 million gamers.
Star Wars Battlefront II was released in November 2017 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The release was not very successful. The press gave the title mostly average and mixed ratings. At the same time, the user rating of Battlefront II reached an extremely low level — 0.9 points on Metacritic. This was due to the scandal surrounding microtransactions in an online shooter.
The game received its last update at the end of April 2020. The developers no longer plan to support Battlefront II.
