Mobile developer with Russian roots Azur Games is coming to the console
The company Azur Games, which previously specialized exclusively in mobile titles, announced the launch of its first project on consoles — battle royale Axes.io .
Axes.io
Isometric multiplayer action has become available for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch users.
The price of the game ranges from 319 to 400 rubles, depending on the platform.
Previously, the game has already been released, but as a free-play application and exclusively for mobile systems. Its total downloads on iOS and Android platforms have now reached the mark of 27 million installations.
It is still unclear how important the console market is for the company in the light of this release. It is also not specified whether Azur Games is going to bring its other major titles to the “big” platforms in the future (for example, World War Heroes or Harvest.io ).
At the same time, in his commentary on the event, the CEO of the company Dmitry Yaminsky speaks about the diversification of Azur Games’ efforts: “We see the development of our business in different directions as promising, as well as the opportunity to work with a new audience on new platforms.”
The company does not launch the game on PS4, Xbox One independently, but with the support of a third-party publisher, which is the Moscow indie publisher Victory Road, formed by former employees of Buki, Akella and 101XP.
As for the Switch version, Azur Games deals with it itself.
