The Darkest Dungeon board game has raised over $1 million on Kickstarter in a day

For the creators of Darkest Dungeon, yesterday turned out to be a success. Along with new details about the sequel, the developers launched a crowdfunding campaign to create a board game. During the day, she has already collected more than $ 1 million.

On October 20, a Kickstarter campaign was launched to raise funds for the creation of a board game based on Darkest Dungeon. The production will be handled by the company Mythic Games, and it will go on sale until November next year.

In just a day, the project raised $ 1.2 million, and on October 22, the amount is already $1.4 million (with an initial goal of $ 300 thousand). The board game was supported by 11 thousand people, and the campaign itself will last another 15 days.

The standard edition, which will be sold for $100, will include eight heroes, 64 monster figures, 32 cubes, playing fields, as well as dozens of different cards.

Along with this, Red Hook Studios has shared new details of Darkest Dungeon 2. The sequel to the popular turn-based RPG will be released in early access in the Epic Games Store. There is no exact release date for the game, but the developers promise to release it before the end of 2021.

Rocket Hook Studios stated that Darkest Dungeon 2 will be made in “stylized 3D”, and the teaser shown together with the announcement demonstrates real game models and is recorded on the Unity engine.
