NexusMods Temporarily Blocked Political Mods for Games
The hub for publishing mods for NexusMods games has banned content about the US elections. At least until November 3, users will not be able to upload political mods to the portal.

According to the management of NexusMods, the decision to get rid of political content for a while did not arise from scratch.
On the eve of the US presidential election, a group of users who are “not smart enough or old enough to discuss problems without insults and unfounded accusations” came to life on the site.
The portal administration clarified that the ban was caused by the provocative behavior of such community members and the extremely low quality of downloaded mods. NexusMods noted that this had already happened four years ago, and this time the site wants to protect the rest of the players in advance who just want to have a good time.
The creators of the resource reminded that NexusMods is primarily a gaming resource. Also, the owners of the portal urged not to ignore the banned mods noticed by users and report them to moderators.
Do it and smile. You should know that they spend much more time creating and downloading a mod than we do on banning and deleting it. Frankly, we don't care what it looks like. We don't care what you think about our political beliefs because of whether we moderate or not moderate the content. Say and do what you want on other sites or services, but this is not the place here.
It’s not just NexusMods that has tightened its content policy. On the eve of the election, Facebook also began to moderate all promoted content more harshly.
NexusMods is one of the largest online platforms where users can upload and download “modifications” for video games. As of February 2019, 16.4 million people were registered on the site.
