In the USA, the PlayStation 4 has become the most popular console of the last decade. She topped the sales tops both in pieces and in money.
NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella posted on Twitter ratings of the most popular consoles in the United States. The collections are divided by time periods (for 25 years and for 10 years) and by sales category (in units and in dollars).
The top 3 for 2010-2019 included one Sony console and two generations of devices from Microsoft. They are the leaders of the decade in sales both in pieces and in dollars:
1) PlayStation 4;
2) Xbox One;
3) Xbox 360.
In the top of the most profitable devices on the American market over the past 25 years (1995-2019) — the same consoles. But they switched places:
1) Xbox 360;
2) PlayStation 4;
3) Xbox One.
The Nintendo DS unexpectedly sold the largest number of copies in 25 years in the USA. It is followed by consoles of previous generations:
1) Nintendo DS;
2) PlayStation 2;
3) Xbox 360.
