Take-Two considers India and Africa promising markets
The ways of development of Take-Two will affect India and Africa. According to the publisher, in the future these markets will offer huge opportunities for game rendezvous.
This was announced by the CEO of Take-Two Strauss Zelnik (Strauss Zelnik) at the annual meeting of shareholders, writes PC Games Insider.
In the long term, India and African countries can become very profitable markets, Zelnik believes. “We still haven’t mastered the economic field in India and Africa enough, and besides, we have made only small steps in the Middle East. But there are many opportunities (for international business) in these parts of the world,” he said.
His opinion coincides with the forecasts of some analysts — at least as far as India is concerned. In recent years, Newzoo has noted that Indian game dev is gradually growing and is already catching up with Australia in terms of turnover. The mobile market has particularly good prospects in India.
But now the focus of Take-Two is on Asian markets, in particular, China. Take-Two has already launched NBA 2K Online in China, exclusive to the region.
In general, many Western companies tend to China, despite the strict rules of regulators. However, they are increasingly having problems due to the trade war between China and the United States. As Zelnik noted: “We have excellent prospects in the Chinese market, and we hope that the trade negotiations will be resolved on a positive, friendly note, and their result will be beneficial for the entertainment industry.”
