Razer, the manufacturer of gaming peripherals, has announced the imminent closure of its gaming store. Razer Games Store will stop working on February 28 — just 10 months after opening.

The reason the platform is shutting down so soon is because of Razer’s reorganization. The company announced that it would not spend money on restarting or rebranding the store. Instead, it invests in other ways of delivering games and content.

Razer sold keys to games for Steam and Uplay through its store. For the purchase of keys, users received zSilver coins. They could be used to purchase various Razer devices, for example, a computer mouse or keyboard. After the platform is closed, all accumulated coins will be saved for users, and they can be used.

The same is true with the purchased keys for Steam and Uplay — they can be activated after February 28. But the company warned that the keys must be copied in advance: on the day the store closes, access to them will disappear. As for pre-ordered games, Razer promises players their timely delivery.
