Odnoklassniki won't let Flash games in anymore

Today, on November 30, the Odnoklassniki social network announced that from January 1, 2019, it will no longer accept Flash projects for publication. Flash games available on the platform will remain available, but will no longer receive a feature.

In Odnoklassniki itself, the solution is called an incentive for developers to switch to new technologies.

The social network recalls that “since September 2018, Chrome has been forcing users to allow Flash on all sites after each browser restart. From July 2019, this permission will be moved to the settings section.”

In other words, in such conditions, even those Flash products that still have a large user base will not survive.

Therefore, Odnoklassniki will no longer invest traffic in those games that require the user to have a Flash player.

The situation around Flash has been escalating for a long time. Back in 2016, it was disabled by default in Chrome. A little later, Adobe, the developer of the technology, officially abandoned its development and admitted that it would stop supporting Flash in 2020.

Despite this, there are still game teams that remain true to Flash.
