White Nights St. Petersburg 2018 was visited by almost 1,700 representatives of the gaming industry
At the end of last week, St. Petersburg turned into the capital of European game development for a couple of days. On June 28-29, the sixteenth conference for game developers White Nights was held in the city on the Neva. The guests of the event were 1,655 representatives of the industry.
Two thirds of the participants were representatives of Russian teams. There were also many guests from Belarus and Ukraine. 25% of the conference visitors came from foreign countries: especially many participants were from Finland, Germany and China.
The main part of the participants are game developers and publishers. Their share of the total number of guests was 66%. The rest of the conference guests are representatives of various service providers.
The organizers were very pleased with the event. As noted in an interview with App2Top.ru Yulia Lebedeva, head of the organizing committee of the event, — “The conference was very cool, a new milestone was taken.”
She also noted that now the most difficult thing for the conference is not to keep the bar already taken, but to raise it higher all the time. Judging by the reviews of the participants of the event, we can say that White Nights St. Petersburg succeeded.
Lebedeva separately noted the holding of a charity auction within the framework of the event. Such an event was held for the first time in the Russian-speaking segment of the gaming industry. The auction was held as part of the Unreal Engine gala dinner. During it, more than $ 15 thousand was collected.
