The developments of Pokémon GO are used in the new games of the series
The success of Pokémon GO has had a strong impact on the Pokémon Company: its just-announced titles, announced for the Nintendo Switch, are somehow repelled by the development of Niantic.
The monetization of Pokémon Quest, a shareware RPG with low—profile “cubic” graphics, as in the case of Pokémon GO, is based on the sale of additional content. The game is already available in the Nintendo eShop online store, in June it will be launched on Android and iOS, but the storage of shared data between the console and mobile versions is not provided.
Pokémon Doubles titles: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, aimed at players taking their first steps in the world of Pokemon video games, will receive integration with Pokémon GO. Pokemon caught in GO can be transferred to Let’s Go series games. Both titles will be released on Switch this year.
The new games were presented on May 29 at the Pokémon 2018 Video Game Press Conference. It was also announced that in 2019, another Pokemon game will appear on Switch, it does not have an official name yet.
Recall that the Pokémon Company, founded in 1998, is a branch of Nintendo, exclusively engaged in a media franchise about Pokemon. The success of the AR hit Pokémon GO in 2016 brought the company a record profit, although in 2017 the Pokemon boom began to decline.
