Gameloft revenues have fallen amid a lack of new releases
Mobile developer and publisher Gameloft reported for the 1st quarter of 2018. The company reported a 13.4% decrease in revenue compared to last year. The drop in revenue is due to the fact that the company did not have a single release in the first three months of this year.
The company’s results are reported in a report by Vivendi media corporation, which has owned Gameloft since 2016.
Gameloft expects to compensate for a slight drop in revenue already this quarter due to the new MOBA Dungeon Hunter Champions. Champions is the latest installment of the Dungeon Hunter mobile series, with total downloads exceeding the 100 million mark.
Dungeon Hunter Champions was released on May 3. The company reported excellent initial sales. Gameloft representatives believe that the title will earn even more after the release in China.
