Google has introduced the Agones game server hosting system
Google has announced an open source project called Agones. It is designed to host multiplayer game servers.
Agones is a joint development of Google and Ubisoft.
The system runs on the capacities of the Kubernetes cloud platform. Kubernetes capabilities allow you to scale the game server by connecting or disconnecting additional clusters in your network.
The creators of Agones promise developers native support for the creation, launch, management and scaling of dedicated game servers. Interaction with the system is carried out through the Kubernetes platform API.
Agones is still at an early stage of testing. The project resources can be found on GitHub.
