5 million copies of Monster Hunter: World shipped in the first weekend
Deliveries of the Monster Hunter: World role-playing action have become the best in the history of the franchise. In the first three days, Capcom sent over 5 million copies to stores and sold them in numbers.
This is stated in the company’s press release.
The international release of Monster Hunter: World took place on January 26 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One. The PC version will be released towards the end of 2018.
The first part of Monster Hunter was released on Sega Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 consoles in 2004. According to Capcom, as of January 28, 2018, the total sales of the franchise’s games exceeded 45 million copies.
