Vacancies of the week (January 24)
Wanted: senior server programmer in the former Moscow office of Glu Mobile, head of marketing analytics at Game Insight and head of the traffic buying team at Wargaming.
We continue the traditional publication of selected vacancies. I made a selection of them over the past week for App2Top.ru Alina Wise, Senior Recruiting Consultant of VALUES VALUE company.
Alina the WiseTechnical vacancy of the week:
Senior server Programmer at the former Moscow Glu Mobile
The beginning of the year was greeted by the industry with the news that the Moscow division of Glu Mobile in its entirety is moving under the wing of Saber Interactive. And now it is increasing its staff: invites a senior server programmer to the team, who will develop the server side of games for mobile platforms.
The studio offers the future employee a salary of 180 thousand rubles, plus bonuses based on the results of work. The company also provides monetary compensation in case of moving to Moscow from other cities.
Requirements:
- ability to write highly scalable, highly loaded server applications;
- experience with NoSQL databases;
- understanding the principles and experience of optimizing client-server applications;
- knowledge of English (reading/writing technical documentation);
- citizenship of the Russian Federation.
Additional advantages will be:
- the presence in the recent past of a released project supporting 10,000+ users at the same time;
- Java programming experience;
- work experience in game development.
Management-vacancy of the week:
Head of Marketing Analytics Department, Game Insight (Moscow)
Last year, Game Insight had to merge and reformat several teams, for the sake of the idea of making the best mobile shooter – Guns of Boom. The result was worth it – in six months since the world release, the project has gained 20 million players.
I believe that this year the company sets itself no less ambitious goals and invites several specialists to join its team.
We have allocated the vacancy “Head of Marketing Analytics Department”. The future employee will face very interesting tasks in planning and controlling all marketing activities of the company. He will also evaluate how, where and at what price to buy traffic, how not to buy, and also evaluate the operational performance of the company.
Game Insight offers the prospect of personal and professional growth, registration under the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and a white salary (the amount of salary is discussed with each candidate individually).
Requirements:
- at least two years of experience in game development or mobile marketing;
- confident knowledge of marketing tools (Facebook Ads, Google Adwords) and basic metrics: ROAS, CPI, ARPU, etc.;
- excellent knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability theory;
- programming in Python (or R), working with various APIs, excellent command of SQL (we use PostgreSQL).
Additional benefits will be:
- experience in managing a team of at least 3 people (developers + analysts);
- understanding and experience of conducting AB, AA and other variations of testing, calculating the strength of the effect or the necessary sample;
- knowledge of machine learning methods.
Marketing-vacancy of the week:
User Acquisition Team Lead, Wargaming (Minsk)
In the previous selection, I wrote that there will be a huge demand for experienced traffic procurement specialists this year. We can say that my forecast has slowly begun to come true. Wargaming is looking for a team leader by User Acquisition to work on the World of Tanks Blitz Operations project.
The main responsibilities of the employee are: leadership of the user acquisition team; development and monitoring of systems and infrastructure necessary for conducting UA campaigns; responsibility for budgeting and achieving set goals and KPIs within advertising campaigns.
The guys decided not to report in the description what they offer in addition to a salary and a cool project, but I think everyone is well aware of the conditions and buns of the company without this.

Requirements:
- at least 3 years of experience in the role of Lead User Acquisition Manager | User Acquisition Manager | Analyst;
- work experience in the field of project management in the field of IT or game development;
- excellent analytical skills;
- strong planning and budgeting skills;
- confident technical background;
- ability to analyze and interpret complex information and present it in a clear and concise form;
- fluency in English and Russian;
- flexibility and ability to adapt to changes in the working environment;
- willingness to work in a cross-functional team.
Additional advantages will be:
- managerial experience;
- understanding the game development process, preferably free-to-play;
- gaming experience, mainly in World of Tanks Blitz.
