The new game by the author Gunpoint turned out to be more successful than the previous one
The second game of independent developer Tom Francis (Tom Francis) Heat Signature in the first week after release overtook the sales of his debut title Gunpoint, also successful.
Heat Signature was created for three and a half years and cost Francis 200 thousand pounds. According to the developer, he did not dream of repeating the success of Gunpoint and hoped that the sales of the game would at least allow him to recoup the costs.
Instead, Heat Signature on the day of release on September 21 rose to the 1st line of Steam sales and stayed in the top ten for most of the week. As a result, its sales were slightly ahead of Gunpoint for the same period.
“I took a lot of risks and I’m happy that the risk paid off — thank you all for the wonderful feedback! The failure of Heat Signature would be a real financial disaster for me,” Tom Francis said.
According to SteamSpy, about 44 thousand people already own the game.
Heat Signature — a roguelike (rogue-like) in a space setting. Francis’ first Gunpoint game can be described as an adventure stealth platformer.
