Square Enix intends to earn $900 million on a gaming mobile
The Japanese company Square Enix has announced plans to gain about ¥100 billion ($900 million) from sales of games for mobile platforms.
This is stated in the official message to the shareholders of the company. The company does not specify the time frame in which it is going to achieve its goals.
Square Enix has announced that it will develop more complex mobile games designed for discerning gamers.
The company justifies the new strategy by the fact that mobile devices have firmly established themselves as gaming platforms, and mobile gaming has become mainstream.
In addition to mobile, Square Enix expects to revive interest in browser games due to the capabilities of HTML5.
The most successful mobile title of the company today is the role-playing game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, released last year. To date, it has been downloaded more than 23 million times.
