The Jump indie game subscription service will launch this summer
The new Jump gaming service should start working during this summer. For a monthly fee of $10, Jump users will have access to an updated library of indie games.
Jump creators Cade Peterson and Anthony Palma compare their startup with the well-known Netflix series service.
According to Palma, they do not plan to sell add-ons through Jump or place ads there.
Indie developers will receive money from the service depending on how long users have been playing their games.
“We plan to direct 70% of the net revenue from the total revenue from user subscriptions and pay developers depending on how long people have been playing their games on our platform,” Anthony Palma said.
The library will include new indie projects and well-known games from independent developers. The curators will select the content for the catalog.
Jump owners believe that their service will help fans and developers of indie games to find each other and help promote diverse and unusual titles.
It is expected that at the start, users will have access to a library of 60-100 games.
The service is currently in beta testing mode. It is not yet available in Russia.
