Tilting Point will invest $40 million to promote the mobile military strategy Gunship Battle: Total Warfare

The next year for the Korean gaming company Joycity will begin with a large cash receipt. Publisher Tilting Point has agreed to invest $40 million to increase traffic for its mobile title Gunship Battle: Total Warfare.


All funding will be provided by the UA Fund, which annually spends $ 132 million to attract users to the games of the partners of Tilting Point. This will be the publisher’s largest investment under the program, according to VentureBeat.

The American publisher plans to look for new players for Gunship Battle: Total Warfare mainly in the USA and other Western countries. This is the first deal between Joycity and Tilting Point, but, as the publisher hopes, it will not be the last.

“We are starting with a limited partnership. But then we would like to expand it if the cooperation turns out to be successful,” said Asi Burak, Senior Vice President for Business Development at Tilting Point. “This deal is unique in that many of our partners are indie developers. Whereas here, rather, there is a strategic partnership with a large company”

Joycity is a South Korean public company with about 700 employees. To date, its capitalization reaches $ 300 million. The developer released his mobile military strategy Gunship Battle: Total Warfare two years ago, and during this time the game has been downloaded more than 100 million times.
