Estonian studio Infusion Games received $2.5 million investment from Green Grey
Green Grey has announced a new deal. The company invested $2.5 million in an Estonian studio with Russian roots Infusion Games. Now she is working on three titles at once — including cyberpunk shooter Cyber Wars for mobile.Nikolay Shubin and Sergey Belyaev, Infusion Games
As part of the deal, Green Grey received a stake in Infusion Games, but which one is not specified.
The company will also act as the exclusive publisher of three studio projects. At the same time, the entire development and technical part will remain on the side of the Estonian team.
Infusion Games was founded in 2020 by two veterans of the Russian IT industry. The post of CEO was taken by Sergey Belyaev, who was responsible for the opening of the Moscow Wargaming studio and worked in companies such as Yandex and Glu Mobile. Nikolay Shubin, who previously acted as a financial adviser to various hedge funds and has been working directly in the gaming industry for the past five years, became the financial director.
“This is a very important decision for us, which allowed us to work on three projects at once at the same time, faster and more efficiently, without wasting time searching for resources. We were able to fully immerse ourselves in the implementation of all our ideas,” Belyaev comments on the deal.
The flagship project of Infusion Games is a Cyber Wars flying vehicle shooter, which is scheduled for release in August 2022. The art director of the game is Oleg Ignatiev, who previously held a similar position on the War Robots project at Pixonic Studio.
This is the third public transaction involving Green Grey this summer. Earlier, the company invested $ 4 million in a mobile shooter studio Developers Unknown, and also opened a casual studio NPU Games and invested $ 800 thousand in it.
