People Can Fly acquired the Canadian studio Game On, which participated in the creation of Outriders. The transaction amount is $7.75 million
Polish studio People Can Fly has already made its second purchase in the last few days. This time we are talking about Canadian outsourcers Game On Creative, who are engaged in motion capture, cinematic videos, animation and audio.
According to the Bankier business portal, Polish developers paid zł29.4 million ($7.75 million) for 100% of Game On shares. Also, for five years, Game On will be able to receive revenue of 5% from the sale of shares, but only if it demonstrates impressive financial results all this time.
Samuel Girardin will remain CEO of Game On. In addition, he will become the head of the People Can Fly Canada division, replacing Sebastian Wojciechowski.
Game On will help PCF with the creation of AAA games, taking over the work with animation, sound and commercials. This should help the Polish studio to conduct several major projects at the same time.
By the way, Game On has previously worked together with PCF, having played an important role in the creation of Outriders.
Despite the deal, Game On will still be able to collaborate with other gaming companies. Note that she has participated in the development of Horizon Forbidden West, Control, Quantum Break, Marvel’s Avenger, Life Is Strange, Halo 4 and many other games.
At the end of last week, PCF bought the Chicago studio Phosphor Games, known for the titles The Brookhaven Experiment and Gemini: Heroes Reborn. Taking into account the new purchase, the Polish company now employs over 350 employees.
