Mobile games earned $14.6 billion in the first quarter of 2019
Sensor Tower analysts estimated the revenue of mobile games received in the first quarter of the year. It grew by 12.3% year-on-year and amounted to $14.6 billion.

The share of mobile games revenue accounted for 76% of the total revenue of mobile applications. The latter, by the way, reached $19.5 billion in the quarter, according to PocketGamer.
- 59% of the game revenue was generated by titles from the App Store. Their result is $8.6 billion. This is 10.3% more than in the same quarter last year.
- Google Play games earned $6 billion in the first quarter. The growth rate in annual terms is more significant than that of App Store games — 15.4%.
Downloading games in the App Store and Google Play
Total downloads of games for Android and iOS in the first quarter increased by only 2% and amounted to 9.7 billion.
- In the App Store, downloads decreased by 9%. This is due to the freezing of licensing in the Chinese market. The amount of downloads in the store reached 2.2 billion.
- The remaining 7.5 billion downloads came from Google Play. In annual terms, the growth was 5.6%.
Top 10 highest-grossing mobile games
Fortnite did not get into the top ten most profitable games for the quarter, but PUBG did. Tops the list of Honor of Kings from Tencent.
Top 10 most downloaded mobile games
Color Bump 3D from 101 Digital is the leader in this top. PUBG is in the second place in the list. In addition, two hyper-casual titles of Voodoo studio got into it at once.
