Monthly revenue of Brawl Stars increased by 616% after softlonch in new regions
The mobile PvP action movie Brawl Stars by Supercell has been in the softlonch for more than a year. It is still unclear whether he will get to the official release or not, but in July, the title’s revenues increased 7 times compared to the previous month and reached $ 1.3 million. The project’s revenue growth coincided with the expansion of the softlonch geography: the game was released in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
According to the analytical company Sensor Tower, the iOS version of Brawl Stars in July earned $ 740 thousand on in-game purchases, whereas a month earlier, players generated only $ 128 thousand. Hong Kong gamers spent the most — their purchases accounted for 47% of all revenue. The former territories also played a role in the growth of income: so spending players in Canada increased by 20%.
In the total amount of July gaming revenue, the share of iOS audience spending was 57%, and Android player spending generated 43% of revenue. At the same time, Brawl Stars came out on the Google mobile platform only in June of this year.
Note that in May of this year, Supercell released the 4th big update for Brawl Stars, which included new game modes, social functions, advertising monetization, a redesigned tournament system and a lot of significant changes. After the last update, the game’s revenue went up sharply.
However, the final fate of the project has not yet been determined. In its history, Supercell has repeatedly turned off completely ready and successful games after softlonch.
