Ubisoft has combined Ubisoft Club and Uplay services under the Ubisoft Connect brand

Exactly one week later, Ubisoft Club and Uplay services will become a single application — Ubisoft Connect. Crossplay and crossprogression will appear in it.

A French publisher has introduced a cross-platform ecosystem of gaming services called Ubisoft Connect. It starts next Thursday at the same time as the release of the action game Watch Dogs: Legion.

What is already known about Ubisoft Connect

  • ecosystem users will be able to play some Ubisoft games on multiple devices at once. For example, start playing on the console, and finish on the PC. So far, cross-regression has been confirmed for only four titles: Hyper Scape, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Riders Republic.
  • but the crossplay will be available for “most” games. But what specific titles will be included in this majority is unknown;
  • Players in Ubisoft Connect will have access to a new news feed, a list of friends, statistics and personal tips for completing titles. But it will also be possible to integrate achievements, completed games, experience and some other data from old Uplay/Ubisoft Club accounts into the profile of this service.
  • Ubisoft Connect will have its own loyalty system: subscribers will increase their account level and receive special points for completing various tasks. The earned money can be spent on the purchase of in-game items;
  • some games from the old catalog will not support the Ubisoft Connect loyalty system. As compensation, the publisher unlocks 1000 awards from classic titles for free to users;
  • Ubisoft also clarifies that at first there will be some difficulties with the launch of game services. They will fully appear in Ubisoft Connect only in two months;
  • Ubisoft Connect will work on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Switch, Stadia, iOS and Android.
