Niko Partners: by 2025, the revenue of the Asian mobile and PC games market will reach $41.8 billion. This is excluding China
Niko Partners has shared its forecast for the Asian* mobile and PC games market for 2025. According to analysts, by this time its turnover will grow to $41.8 billion. Almost all of the revenue will be brought by only two countries — Japan and South Korea.
*This time, analysts meant only ten countries by the Asian market: Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and India. Whereas, for example, China is not included in the statistics.

- According to the forecast of Niko Partners, the turnover of the Asian mobile and PC games market in 2021 will amount to $35.6 billion. Thus, the market will grow by 17.4% in four years.
- Note that if China is added to the countries selected by analysts, the market revenue in 2025 will be an impressive $92.34 billion.
- In 2025, 80% of the revenue of $41.8 billion will be generated by players from Japan and South Korea. As for the rest of the countries, it is expected that at least a billion dollars will be brought by players from Thailand, Indonesia, India and Vietnam.
- India will become the fastest growing country in terms of user spending. The average annual growth rate will be 29.8%. Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam will also show good results.
- The number of gamers in Asia will continue to grow rapidly. If by the end of 2021 714.9 million people will play on smartphones and PCs, then by 2025 the number of such gamers will already be 940.9 million (and taking into account China — 1.65 billion).
- Asian gamers will play more free—play titles (for how much – analysts did not specify). This is true for all platforms. If we talk only about PC games, then users from South Korea, Vietnam and India will spend the most time on them.
- Now mobile gamers, when choosing a game, are guided primarily by the opinions of friends and streamers.
- 26.4% of mobile and PC gamers have played through the cloud at least once. Another 27.4% of people are interested in such projects.
- 18.9% of users play mobile games on a PC using an emulator.
