The App Annie box office chart for 2020 includes Playrix and Mail.Ru Group
App Annie has published the top 52 highest-grossing mobile publishers in the world according to the results of the previous year. Playrix is in 3rd place, Mail.Ru Group on the 51st.

Last year, Playrix was in 7th position. The increased sales of Gardenscapes – New Acres and Fishdom: Deep Dive helped her to rise.
A year earlier Mail.Ru Group was also in the top, but then it closed the selection, which App Annie also calls its “deck”. The company’s growth was provided by increased revenue War Robots, Love Sick: Interactive Stories and the VK social network.
There were no other companies based in Russia or the CIS in the global selection. The top was headed by Chinese Tencent and NetEase, who actively earned money on Game For Peace (the Chinese version of PUBG) and Knives Out, respectively.
In general, the top was dominated by Chinese companies of the company. Out of 52 positions, 16 remained behind them. Companies officially registered in the USA had the same number.

Also this time, App Annie has published a separate box office top for those publishers whose headquarters are officially based in EMEA (an economic region that includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Let’s mention companies founded by immigrants from the CIS:
- Playrix in 1st place;
- Mail.Ru Group in 5th place;
- Nexters in 9th place;
- Vizor is in 12th place;
- MYTONA is in 16th place;
- Samfinaco is in 20th place;
- Murka is on the 22nd place;
- Wargaming is on the 23rd place;
- Melsoft is in 24th place
- G5 Games is in 26th place.

Among the companies that generated the most installations in 2020 in the world were the following companies whose roots are in Russia or Belarus:
- SayGames in 5th place;
- Playgendary in 6th place;
- Azur is in 7th place;
- Playrix is in 10th place;
