Study: Two-thirds of mobile developers are dissatisfied with advertising revenue
The international advertising mediation platform Chocolate has published the results of a study on the attitude of mobile developers to their advertising revenue. According to the survey, 69% of the creators of games and programs for mobile are not satisfied with the proceeds from advertising.
102 companies from 22 countries participated in the survey, including regions such as the USA, Canada, Germany, Great Britain and India. The study lasted from June 2017 to August 2018.
Chocolate provides the following data:
- only 31% of mobile developers believe that they earn enough from advertising;
- only 17% of developers do without video ads and at the same time consider themselves satisfied with the result of monetization of ads;
- 57% of the survey participants would like to try the advertising mediation service.

In addition, the report reports useful, though rather obvious facts: for example, 64% of developers who are satisfied with the monetization of advertising use two or more advertising networks.
Only 36% of developers managed to earn enough from advertising with the help of only one advertising network.
Note that the Chocolate study is promotional in nature. The company offers advertising mediation services and directly says that this service can increase the income of mobile developers.
